About NSBE

Since its founding by six visionary leaders in 1975, the National Society of Black Engineers has grown to more than 32,000 members globally, blossoming into a leading force in the lives of technical professionals and students on college campuses worldwide.
The NSBE Chapter at Milwaukee School of Engineering plays a vital role in supporting and empowering Black engineering students. At MSOE, NSBE is more than just a student organization - we're a family that ensures every member has the support they need to thrive in their engineering journey.

Do I need to be black to join?

No, You don't need to be black to be included in NSBE as the whole goal is dedicated to support black engineers and finding a community where you feel welcomed so any support is welcome.

Do I need to sign up to come to events?

No, you do not need to sign up to come to events! However, if you are in our Teams, you'll be able to get notifications about upcoming events and other club news.

How do I join NSBE?

Well, its simple follow the instagram page and be on the lookout for our next general meeting or event, and you will become a member for the MSOE chapter, to become a national member you will be asked to pay dues which is $15 annually, and you can go on the NSBE site to register here

How do I get points?

You can receive points by attending events, general meetings, but you have to scan the QR code at those events so our secretary can keep track of who actually attended the event and rewards those attenders points

05.

How often are general meetings held?

General meetings are held every two weeks. Check our Teams channel or Instagram for specific dates and times.
